A Glimpse Of Helsinki

We didn’t do justice to this Baltic State with our very brief visit. But our cruise ship sails out of this “Daughter of the Baltic” soon after lunch and we certainly didn’t plan on missing our boat! 



Mannerheim Street is a good starting point. You can’t miss the Parliament, National Museum, Finlandia Hall. But we were stuck on a motorcoach doing a city tour – definitely NOT the best way to explore Helsinki. Rainy Thursday. The city looks almost sad.
You can say the rain shouldn’t have stopped us from exploring the city, but there just wasn’t enough time. Well, the boat leaves early and it is not fair to pack everything in a few hours in Helsinki. So we’re treating this city tour more like a preview of what this Baltic city has to offer. Next time. Another time, Helsinki!
